Hi, I'm Carly Rubin.
I like to tell cool stories with audio and am based in Brooklyn, NY. I currently work as an associate producer with NPR's Newscast team where I produce and edit for a live radio news program. I'm also a freelance producer for a new podcast from the team behind The October 27 Archive.
Before this, I was a production assistant at NPR where I worked on School Colors, Weekend All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, Short Wave and Life Kit.
I graduated from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism in 2021. I also studied American history and Middle East and North African Studies. At school, I interned with Latino USA and the longform narrative podcast Israel Story. Some of my work as a student was also featured on Cards Against Humanity's The Good News Podcast.
When I wasn't in class, I was either sailing on Lake Michigan with the Northwestern University Sailing Team or creating unscripted storytelling podcasts with the wonderful Nine Lives Podcast team.
My pronouns are she/they.
